Whose has the Right to Question the Chief Minister ?

 Is elected government 

Free to work within Constitutional Frame Work?

Once the government is in power and it operates within the legal and constitutional frame work  laid down, can it make decisions in the interest of the state and its people or not?

Or does it require further approvals of outsiders who are practically not from the administrative machinery and not even in the government?

This may sound as an academic question but it is more to do it with politics of today. 

 

 

The Gujarat Snooping case in question that is splashed all over electronic media with debates by custodians of Human Rights are  asking questions to the elected government and the head of the state, about secret snooping on a lady. 

The electronic media, some journalists, Congress and some Human rights Activists are questioning the authority of the CM of Gujarat.  They may be within their rights to raise questions about someone`s  intent, objective, or purpose, but the participants of these TV debates  speaking on the subject do not convince about their own honesty in taking up the snooping issue.  These are self appointed judges more on the line of "Khaap Panchayats" whose social or political convictions are questionable.

This clearly looks like another election propaganda by few who are trying their best to nail Modi in some case or other and playing  dirty politics. At the heart, their is no sincere and honest intent except attack  Narendra Modi to hurt his political image. 

I am saying this with full responsibility as none of these characters working for Human Rights Violations ever have raised their pitch for Bhopal Gas victims, 1984 Sikh Riots and Emergency excesses. 

Hundred and thousands of innocent victims who suffered, got killed mercilessly, and lost their loved ones, in Bhopal Gas tragedy and 1984 riots. During emergency Rule, human rights were violated of lakhs and lakhs of Indian citizens, constitutional rights of citizens were denied, police excesses were committed, who is held responsible for all these crimes committed by bunch of politicians from Congress? None till today. 

Shouldnt these criminals be brought to book and punished ? Why are all these champions of human rights Activists quiet? Because they are working for Congress? 

Because, it is not politically correct to fight for these human sufferings. Or all these people work for Congress on some considerations like election tickets, Raja Sabha seats or some generosity and favors in kind or cash ? Can they explain to this nation?

Look at the Tehelka case. 

The self appointed crusader, Shoma Choudhary fighting for justice, fair practices, women rights violations, human rights violations is seen involved with all cover-ups and smart arguments when the crime is committed in her own back yard? 

These are the same journalists who keep taking high moral ground when it comes to exposing others ? But who is going to expose them?

Shoma Choudhary, the MD of Tehelka is today running for shelter and trying to bury the truth. When her own team was catching others acts in camera, and exposing their characters in public, she used to claim herself a Good Cop advocating high moral values in the society and demolishing the corrupt from the society?  

What happened to all those moral values?

This episode has exposed her who claimed to be social activist. fighting for women cause. Do we know who this social activists is working for ? There are some social Activists, Human Rights Activists and journalists as well as some media houses who work for money. 

How can we take them seriously and why should we take them seriously?

The role of Chief Minister of a state is much larger and responsible that demands accountability. He or she is certainly answerable to people who have given their mandate in his/her favor.  Gujarat CM, Narendra Modi has got people`s mandate third time. They have the moral, legal rights to question him on his functioning and governance. 

They don't think he is fascist, Hitler or Communal? They have not protested on the streets asking him to step down? Why Prashant Bhushan is calling him fascist? Why congress calls him Hitler, Fascist?  Congress surely have proven track records of fascist mentality when they imposed Emergency Rule on the people of India. 

Why shouldn't fascist Congress be tried in the court for their human rights violations? 

Can anyone and everyone literally summon the Head of the State to answer few Activists? Answer Media Anchors? Few Human right Activists, some politicians who make it their business to question the elected government about administrative decisions?

Yes, our constitution has given them the right to approach the courts if they want to challenge any elected authority in governance. They should go to court and ask for justice. On TV debates they can not play their politics of convenience.

We have laws in this country and our constitution has given rights to all to fight their own battles for the cause they are working. But without full knowledge of the situation, without any documentary evidence, if people start accusing others and especially the head of the states, the federal system that we follow in our political system will soon collapse simply because Congress and corrupt minds want to play their political games. Only to stay in power.
 

People of Gujarat have every right to question Modi government on every decision but  they are not questioning ? They don't think they have elected fascist government. They have full faith in their leadership and their elected government.

Why Prashant Bhushan and like him who want to nail Narendra Modi with their political agenda are calling the shots? What is their interest? He needs to explain a lot about his own Aam Admi party which got exposed in a Sting operation carried out by Media Sarkar. 

So today, Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal have to prove their own honesty. 

But the larger point  is, It would  become impossible today for any head of the state and State administration to make decisions if their decisions are going to be questioned ?

Who is suppose to deliver governance effectively ? Isnt it a job of the elected government in power.?

If the government in power does not work effectively and pro-actively on state issues, then it has no right to stay in power. All those who are playing negative politics for the sake of opposition, they are playing with a national interest and also possibly working for some foreign powers to destabilize this country,    or even divide this country on communal lines which Congress is doing with their communal agenda.

This communal politics is totally responsible for the growing activites of IM terror outfits all over India especially in Bihar and UP. This politics followed by congress, JDU, SP, BSP, RJD on communal lines is responsible for terrorists succeeding in their designs to kill Indians in serial bomb blasts. Patna serial blasts is a classic example of JDU`s communal politics and growing no of  IM operatives working in Bihar. 

This is a result of JDU´s vote bank politics because of which innocent people are getting killed.

Human Rights Activists, media, and Congress is trying their best to frame Modi  and his government by accusing  misuse of power by his government. The charges which can be the basis for demanding his resignation and arrest. None of these people can get anything against him to frame him and that frustration can be seen in this story. It is a pathetic attempt. 

The grand plan as it is unfolding in the last 3-4 days in the popular media on Gujarat Snooping in which, Amit Shah is an alleged accused and Narendra Modi too is targeted. The larger conspiracy is to nail them both with the help of CBI, Home Ministry, high pressure political campaign against them, and make sure, Narendra Modi is forced to step down. 

They know it well, that can only save Congress and Rahul Gandhi and their corrupt alliance partners. 

Section of the media, some journalists, some human rights activists are manged for debates for a systimatic propaganda campaign against Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. 

This is a political corruption and Congress is at the bottom of it.

TV viewers, Do Not fall to their FALSE propaganda who are working dishonestly for money. We surely have some intelligence to see through their political agenda. 

This is absolute Political Corruption by Congress and its alliance partners. They need to be exposed in 2014 with their real face and that only can save this country.

Foreign Secretary, William Hague, warned Israel that if it sent troops into Gaza to confront Hamas, it risked loosing the sympathy of the international community.

On November 19th, a Jewish woman in Britain , Mindy Wiesenberger, sent the following letter to Mr. Hague, in response. The letter has been published in many newspapers, including the Times of Israel 

Dear Mr. Hague
 
You have stated that if Israel tries to defend its population through a ground offensive in Gaza 'it risks losing the sympathy of the international community 

Let me tell you something about the sympathy of the international community Mr. Hague. My father was liberated from Buchenwald concentration camp in 1945, having lost his entire family but gaining the sympathy of the international community at the time. After 6 million Jews had been annihilated at the hands of the Nazi regime, the international community had plenty of sympathy for the Jewish people. There is always plenty of sympathy for victims

Israel doesn't need the sympathy of the international community.What it needs is to defend its citizens .

When as a tiny country it gained its independence in 1948 it had to absorb 800,000 Jews who were thrown out of Arab lands in the Middle East, and it did so without fuss and with dignity giving them shelter and a place of security in which their children could grow up to become productive citizens. When Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria tried to destroy Israel in 1948 and again in 1967 they took in hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs, but did they give them dignity or shelter? No they left them to rot in refugee camps in order to maintain a symbol of grievance against Israel and use them as a political tool against the Jewish state. What has arisen in those camps is a complicated situation, but it is what has led to Gaza today 


So don't lecture Israel on international sympathy Mr. Hague. 

Not when Israel has just sent in 120 truck loads of food into Gaza to feed the Palestinian people there, because their own leadership is more interested in using its population as human shields, launching rockets against Israel from within major civilian centers

Go read your history books Mr. Hague, go see that since the beginning of the twentieth century all the Arabs wanted to do was destroy Israel. Go look at the country of Israel now since the Jews have established a state there. Go read what advances in science, medicine, biotechnology, agriculture and high tech Israel has developed, and dedicated that knowledge to making the world a better place for humanity. 

Can you imagine any other country that after 60 years of continuously being under attack could have achieved so much 

So Mr. Hague don't lecture Israel on international sympathy. Israel will do whatever it takes to defend itself from outright attack on its citizens, whether it be from Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran or any other country or terrorist group that attacks it 

And if it loses the sympathy of the international community so be it. 

We don't need the international community's sympathy. We don't need another 6 million victims

What was most surprising to watch on  the TV debates of the last two days was targeted debates on Gujarat Snooping. The so called scam invented by Congress, few journalists, few Human Right Activists and the section of media sounded much like an anti Modi agenda.
           
All the participants in these debates were gunning for Modi. The final judgement was passed  .  Modi has committed grave crime and so Convicted. Because according to them, privacy of an indivisual is threatened ? Because, a woman`s private and personal life is invaded without her knowledge? Because a constitutional and human rights are violated? 

My god... where were these human rights activists when many serious human rights and constitutional rights were violated in the past of serious nature?

All  invitees on the panels by Times now and NDTV were known Modi foes who for a very long time asking for his head on 2002 riot. Known haters of Narendra Modi who just cant accept him as a emerging leader.  All are trying to get at him to finish his political existence. 

It is no exaggeration to call it a political assassination going on for last 10 years now.

They can accept Indira Gandhi with her fascist Act like emergency. They can pass 1984 Sikh riots, saying it is history now. They keep their mouths shut on Bhopal Gas Tragedy for justice?

But when it comes to Narendra Modi, they like to talk of assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and  2002 riots. 

Listen to  their demand now on Gujarat snooping ? They are asking, why Amit Shah is not coming on TV and explaining ? Why Modi is quiet?

That means...Now in Congress Raj,  TV studios are Supreme courts. Anchors are Judges. Congressmen are Prosecutors. Social Activits are witnesses and judges on the panels.

 

According to their logic...

Whenever Modi or anyone from Gujarat is accused, he should go to TV station and explain to TV anchors, journalists,  human rights activists and  politicians like Digvijay Singh, how they are not guilty of charges ? Just what do they think they are? Voice of 1.2 billion people? Or judiciary themselves?

What are these absurd demands and irrational arguments? 

Saying... Nation demands answers from Narendra Modi? People of India demand to know the truth?  Five  people in the TV studio claiming to be representing the demands of 1.2 billion people of India? What an irrational, illogical demand without any reasoning? 

Few TV channels.. Few social Activists. Few journalists. and Congress and politicians like Digvijay Singh, Nitish Kumar, Kapil Sebal, Chidamabaram represent India and its 1.2 billion people?  They have made India their private limited company? 

They have the courts to approach if they think there is serious violation of law. Why dont they exercise their constitutional rights to approach the courts ? Instead they want to hold a Khaap panchayat like trial in TV studios and pass the judgements ?

This is utter mockery of Democracy, and of our constitution and  judiciary. Nothing else. Few people in this country are trying to deliver justice like we see the Village panchayats do.

Anyone can approach the courts with their grievances. What do they think... this is a Banana Republic? Our judiciary is still active and in many cases delivered justice to people who are wrongly FIXED with politically motivated accusations by some. TV Studios are no courts.

Today, their motives are in question simply because... Has anyone from this lot so far taken the 1984 Sikh riots cases? 

Have they followed it up and taken them to its logical conclusions for justice to thousands who got killed in the tragedy and still suffering?  We know none of them have. Why not? For the last ten years these so called concerned human rights activists and fake political class with journalists on their sides have been targeting Narendsra Modi for 2002 Riots? 

Have they ever shown the same concerns for 1984 riots, Bhopal Gas Tragedy and Emergency excesses committed by Congressmen on human rights?

The 1984 anti-Sikhs riots or the 1984 Sikh Massacre were a series of pogroms directed against Sikhs in India, by anti-Sikh mobs. There were more than 8,000 deaths, including 3,000 in Delhi. 

The Central Bureau of Investigation, the main Indian investigating agency, is of the opinion that the acts of violence were organized with the support from the then Delhi police officials and the central Congress government headed by Indira Gandhi's son, Rajiv Gandhi.

In 2011, Human Rights Watch reported the Government of India had "yet to prosecute those responsible for the mass killings" The 2011 WikiLeaks cable leaks revealed that the United States was convinced about the complicity of the Indian government ruled by the Indian National Congress in the riots, and termed it as "opportunism" and "hatred" of the Congress government against Sikhs

  

Why are these so called Human rights Activists quiet on 1984 Riots and not demanding justice? Justice till today is still not done. Why? 

Is it because it was Congress sponsored riot that the media and Human rights activists are keeping quiet ? Why is not being followed like they are following to nail Narendra Modi for the last 10 long years? Why these double standards? Is this all politically motivated? 

Why are these journalists, TV anchors, Human rights Activists quiet on Bhopal Gas Tragedy? 

The official immediate death toll was 2,259. The government of Madhya Pradesh confirmed a total of 3,787 deaths related to the gas release. Others estimate 8,000 died within two weeks and another 8,000 or more have since died from gas-related diseases. A government affidavit in 2006 stated the leak caused 558,125 injuries including 38,478 temporary partial injuries and approximately 3,900 severely and permanently disabling injuries.

Bhopal Tragedy does not deserve Justice ? Why are Human Rights Activists, TV channels, Journalists do not make as much noise over this human tragedy as they make about Gujarat and  Narendra Modi ?

Why do  they only talk of 2002 Riots?  Because it is politically correct?

Is this not politically motivated campaign? Why should the viewers and readers trust media? Why should we trust the views of people in debates? How do we know, all these are not paid agents working for Congress to nail Modi on some considerations?

What is their credibility? Let them first prove their own integrity and honesty.

Their talk, their cherry picking, says only one thing prominently... They too are not honest to their profession, they are politically aligned forces and misguiding their readers and viewers.

TV Channels : Courts. TV anchors: Special Bench of Judges. Congress, Journalists : Prosecutors, witnesses.  Human rights Activists: Prosecutors and Eye Witnesses.

This  is what is seen  in India today. Media Trials are going on and TV studios have become courts. All debates look and sound set on TV channels. Tv studios have become India`s Supreme Judiciary,  passing verdict against who they want to nail. Not the real criminals who they do not want to talk about, or debate in public forums because it may hurt their interest.

Have you heard Arnab Goswami demanding agressively when there are serious charges against Robert Vadra, Why dont Rahul or Sonia Gandhi tell the nation what is the truth? Or why don't Robert Vadra himself come clean on national TV?  

Have you ever heard, NDTV  Barkha Dutt or Nidhi Razdan, Sagarika Ghos of CNN-IBN asking Robert Vadra to come on national TV to explain about the alleged charges on him making crores with political influence of the family? Because, Nation wants to know the truth ? Because, People of India want to know the truth?

Today they all are demanding Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to tell the nation what is the truth behind Gujarat Snooping. Why? Because we the people of India want to know and have the right to know?

Did any of them ever had the courage to demand Congress to explain on then Finance Minister, Pranab Mukharji`s office being bugged ? Chidamabaram was the Home Minister then and answerable to that snooping. Did anyone demand by saying this nation wants to know who was behind it and how can that happen?

That serious chapter on Pranab Daa`s office bugged was immediately closed and we did not hear anything on that... who did it and why? will then Home Minister P. Chidamabaram explain this nation why there is a silence? 

Nobody has the guts to be on the side of truth and few are clearly playing a corrupt role by running paid publicity campaigns only to target Narendra Modi. 

Some of them are surely  getting paid for publicity campaigns like Ad agencies do.  You only have to listen to their arguments and they get exposed because, even in their arguments they lack logic, rationale and honesty.. 

If you ask me why do I say this, let me tell you why.  I think some of them are clearly sold souls for considerations.

Look at the New Snooping scam on Gujarat they have invented against Narendra Modi.  They all have come together to nail Modi.

In Gujarat Snooping  scam, Amit Shah is not their real target but Narendra Modi is. And we know now, these corrupt minds can go to any length to destroy political opponents like Narendra Modi who is become a threat for all of them simply because the gatherings he attracts wherever he goes are in lakhs.  And commoners are with him.

If Mr Modi comes to power. They know well, their shops will be closed their loot will stop, they will be exposed and they can even land in jails for national loot and for anti national agendas they pursued during the rule. 

Loosing power? They cant imagine that. That is giving all of them sleepless nights.

They are really worried and now getting exposed. And this fear of their political insecurity can lead to even an attempt to eliminate Mr Modi. From this episode the way Congress, and its political partners asking for his head , it sounds like revengeful.

And this fear is so real and growing that it surprises me, Congress, JDU, SP and other alliance partners are not bothered about their own fellow Indian`s life threatened by terrorists? 

This is the most startling fact that none of them have shown that concern about Modi`s personal life being threatened after Patna serial blasts and the security lapses by Nitish Kumar government speaks volumes about Nitish Kumar as a politician and person. And from their acts and talk looks like, it is their wishful thinking that if Modi somehow is fixed, whichever ways, immediate threat to their political existence at least will be over? 

That is their limited thinking and their politics of convenience.

The most surprising story that emerged yesterday on the so called Snoop scam was with a political twist. The Prashant Bhushan`s entry.  He has joined the bandwagon with Congress and Human rights Activists to nail Mr Modi. That is a political twist.

Prashant Bhushan`s entry as an Advocate for IAS officer Pradeep Sharma who is in the jail with corruption charges exposes the larger conspiracy and a political agenda by many who have joined hands to frame Narendra Modi and Amit Shah once again. 

This is the same Prashant Bhushan and team who were with Anna Hazare and keep claiming  that they are fighting against corruption and today seen on the side of a corrupt person who is in the jail ?  

Is Prashant Bhushan and his Kejriwal team really honest? Or following their own political agenda?

When Prashant Bhushan spoke to media on Gujarat Snooping Scam, he made comments which an advocate of his stature should know, can not be a loose talk. 

He can not be judgmental on a case which is not even heard by the court and yet to be proved.in the court of law. 

He was making political statements and trying to get a political mileage for Delhi elections fearing Mr Modi`s campaigning and Anna`s latest accusations on financial fraud by Aam Admi Party. Even Aam Admi Party is trying to divert the attention of the people from the charges leveled by Anna Hazare today.

Prashant Bhushan said on TV channels...

" Gujarat has become completely Fascist State. There is no law and Order. Women are not safe. Minority is not safe as we know from the past records, Modi is acting like a Dictator with criminals like Amit Shah and all democratic norms are violated. Human Rights are violated and Gujarat has become a State of terror in India."  

He said... I have taken up a case of Pradeep Sharma as his Defense Lawyer, who is jailed because he knows all the secretes of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. I have approached the court as Pradeep Sharma has lot more evidence to prove the criminal conduct of Gujarat establishment."

This was the same person who along with Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference and exposed Robert Vadra and made accusations how Robert Vadra made crores of rupees without  investing single pai on land deals in Haryana ? 

That time, If I am not wrong,  Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan used to claim, we are here to expose all corruption cases which are connected with political class. 

And when they were questioned by the media... why don't you approach the court when you have the evidence ? Their answer was, it is not our job. It is to be done by the government in power.  

Yesterday, however, he took up a case of an alleged corrupt IAS officer who is in the jail just to nail Narendra Modi. This they thought is a easy and soft target but not Robert Vadra. Even today, Prashant Bhushan in all honesty can plead Ashok Khemka`s case for justice who had the courage to take on Robert Vadra. But No. Prashant Bhushan chose Narenrda Modi and that shows his political agenda. And his political dishonesty. 

Today, It is nothing surprising  to see some journalists, some media houses, some human rights activists working for Congress on considerations to target Narendra Modi, Even Prashant Bhushan may have his own political considerations and agenda now that they have entered into politics?

Will Prashant Bhushan tell the nation like he expects Modi and Amit Shah to come clean on national TV... Will he come clean?

This is a challenge to Prashant Bhushanb from the common people:

Will he take Robert Vadra to court ? When he claimed having enough documents to prove Robert Vadra made crores and croeres by corrupt means on land deals in Haryana?

Will he fight for Ashok Khemka an honest IAS officer who is harassed today for taking on Robert Vadra?  And a victim of corrupt political system? 

This nation and people would like to see Prashant Bhushan`s honesty.

The origin and history of Pakistan are of relentless hostility towards India. I can say from my personal experience that this began in the Army on June 3, 1947, a few weeks before Partition on August 15, 1947.

 

I was then serving as a major in Military Operations Directorate, South Block. 

 

I found a marked change in the attitude of some officers going to Pakistan though the majority continued to remain friendly. Colonel Akbar Khan was a full colonel in the Weapons and Equipment Directorate. There were rumors that he was close to Muhammad Ali Jinnah. On one occasion I saw him emerging from Jinnah's house in Delhi, 10, Aurangzeb Road.

In August 1947, Brigadier K.M. Cariappa, the senior most Indian officer, hosted a farewell party at Delhi Gymkhana Club for officers going to Pakistan.

Cariappa presented a large silver trophy showing a Hindu and a Muslim soldier kneeling and pointing their rifles in the same direction, symbolic of the two fighting together against a common enemy. In his farewell speech, Cariappa said, “We have been brothers who have lived and fought together. Though we may now be in different Armies, we will continue to be brothers.“ I could see a lot of wet eyes at the party. Akbar Khan was also there.

What an irony that within 12 weeks Pakistan launched an invasion of Kashmir by tribals and Pakistan Army personnel under the command of Akbar Khan, who had assumed the pseudonym General Tariq.

 

Starting with the war in Kashmir, Pakistan has been violating every single agreement.

 

It violated the Standstill Agreement with Kashmir, invading the state on October 22, 1947. In spite of the Suspension of Offensive Operations agreed upon on June 1, 1948, at the instance of the UN, on August 14, 1948, it overran the isolated state force garrison at Skardu Fort, Baltistan. The Indian Army retaliated with two successful operations at Zojila and beyond to Leh, and in Poonch region.

 

India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on January 1, 1949, accepting the August 13, 1948, UN ceasefire resolution.

 

This called for the total withdrawal of all Pakistan forces from Kashmir before a UN supervised plebiscite. Pakistan failed to honor this commitment and India was allowed to retain her forces in Kashmir till the plebiscite.

 

On July 27, 1949, Indian and Pakistani delegations met at Karachi for discussions to delineate the 750-km ceasefire line in Kashmir. I was the secretary of the Indian delegation.

 

The provisions of this agreement were ignored when Pakistan occupied the demilitarized Minimarg area, north of Gurais, and later tried to encroach towards Siachen glacier.

 

The Ceasefire Agreement was blatantly violated when Pakistan launched another invasion of Kashmir on August 1, 1965.

 

Initially it denied any involvement in the ongoing so-called freedom struggle in Kashmir.

 

The then Pakistan Army Chief, General Mohammad Musa, in his book My Version wrote that their operation failed in Kashmir because of lack of support from the people.

 

During the Shimla talks in 1972, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto made commitments to Indira Gandhi which he failed to honor.

 

Zia-ulHaq launched his strategy of “a thousand cuts” in Kashmir. Cross-border terrorism started though Pakistan maintained that terrorism in Kashmir was the “freedom struggle” of the people of Kashmir and Pakistan had no hand in it beyond providing moral support.

 

The cat was out of the bag when a director-general of the Inter-Services Intelligence told the Pakistan National Assembly that the ISI had been sponsoring cross-border terrorism in Kashmir.

 

And, in 2000, Pakistan launched its Kargil intrusion, violating the Line of Control.

 

In 2003, I was governor of Jammu and Kashmir. 

 

The Army resorted to heavy suppressive fire at the LoC whenever there was any firing from the other side. We had been getting the better of them in these artillery duels.

 

In January 2004, Pervez Musharraf, in his meeting with then Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, declared that Pakistan would not allow any cross-border terrorism from its territory. This agreement held good for five years.

 

Then Pakistan reverted to playing its old game.

 

In January 2013, Indian soldiers were beheaded by Pakistani Army personnel. Dr Singh had then said, “Terrorism and talks cannot go together.” However, he soon forgot that and engaged in talks with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recently in New York despite stepped up Pakistani violence on the LoC.

As governor of Kashmir from 2003-2008, 

I urged that we should not agree to open the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road till we got Pakistan to agree to open the Kargil-Skardu road. 

Pakistan had been committing atrocities on the local population of Gilgit-Baltistan and repeated uprisings have been quelled by the Pakistan Army. We never gave even moral support to these suppressed people though we claim that the whole of the state is an integral part of India.

 

Some dissident leaders of Gilgit-Baltistan met me and apprised me of their plight They said they had nothing in common with Kashmiri Muslims. The Kargil Shia Muslims were their kith and kin. They wanted the Kargil-Skardu Road opened.

 

I urged the then foreign minister, who was to visit Islamabad shortly, to contact these dissident leaders. He accepted my suggestion but on return told me that it was decided not to ruffle feathers.

 

 

Dr Singh has held 16 meetings with the Prime Ministers of Pakistan in the last nine years.

 

At Havana, he agreed to a joint mechanism with Pakistan to look into cases of LoC violations placing the aggressor and the one transgressed against on the same footing.

 

At Sharm el-Sheikh he agreed to include Balochistan in the joint statement, implying that India was intervening in Balochistan like Pakistan was in Kashmir.

 

The latest is his meeting last month with Mr Sharif in New York. 

 

The latter made fun of his complaining to US President Barack Obama against Pakistan and even made the infamous “dehati aurat“ remark.

 

Nothing was achieved at these talks beyond the two Directors-General of Military Operations holding dialogues that they have been holding for so many years.During and after the talks in New York, violence by the Pakistan Army on the LoC has increased.

 

It is time we gave up our desperate attempts to reach out to Pakistan.

Talks with Pakistan should be held from a position of strength at the official level.

 

Talks at the apex level should take place only when Pakistan takes positive action on the ground.

What is the solution Arundhati Roy offers? Third Front Option?
These kind of comments are nothing but trying a deliberate confusion ither for political advantage or it is a self serving campaign. It does not serve any purpose but only helps a sensational news bite and a story for the media.

Who is asking personal opinions of intellectuals in the society?

Surely Arundhati Roy, You are entitled for your take on any issue but don't force your views  when people can make the decision themselves? Are you too setting up a trap or helping them to make the right decision? you are creating more confusion.

She says, in coalition era people have options? What options? 

Please be specific if you are backing third front. Say so directly instead of beating the bush around? When do you say people shouldn't fall into the trap of Modi and Rahul, give reasons. Why are you thinking so ? Otherwise, these are those politically motivated statements. Don't just make statements taking the middle path, neither  left or right. 

The writers think and especially the activists, common people have no intelligence to choose what they want and they need to be guided by intellectuals. This is really insulting the intelligence of the common people. 

Another writer says, if Modi becomes Prime Minister, I will leave India? 

What kind of rationale or argument is this by an intellectual? Gujarat chose Mr Modi three times as their leader with clear mandate for him, so you don't even respect electorate who choose their governments through Ballot? What kind of arrogance is this insulting the electorate?
 
All of them criticize Narendra Modi on his Gujarat development but do not respect people`s verdict and never talk of Congress track records. What about Congress failures, Congress corruption, Congress Emergency Rule, 1984 Sikh riots? They call themselves Human Rights Activists, and keep quiet on Emergency Rule when thousands and thousans were thrown in the jails all over India and their constitutional rights to demand justice were denied? Many were also given third degree treatment who went against the rule? 

Why all those from the Congress rule still walking free and  not behind the bars till today? 

Why Activists like Arundhati Roy does not ask Congress this?  And can anyone forgive the criminals of 1984 brutal killings of innocent Sikh men, women and children, who were burned alive? In thousands? for no fault of theirs?

Why is Arundhati Roy quiet on Human Rights violations of 1984? Is it political?
 
Some of these activists are dead against the corporates like communists think, but then we can see the results of that ideology in West Bengal, and Kerala? Where the businessmen are not interested in investing ? China too has changed their old thinking and have progressed. And their progress and development is seen by the world. 

This is a charge against Mr modi that he works for Corporates?  

How do you develop Industries? How do you generate employment opportunities without industry? Let Activists like Arundhati Roy come up with their visionary plan on this.

Congress Human Rights violation Record is worst. Why don't they talk of that? Are these their independent views or supporting some group like third front? Let Arundhati Roy take a clear position on this. We have seen third front option in the past and it is always a bitter pill.. 

The problem in our country is, we have too many Human rights Activists who can talk of issues but can not offer solutions. Terror, they are not concerned when innocent citizens are killed in the serial blasts, but they are more concerned with terrorists getting killed by police? It is because of these Human Rights people who care a damn about innocent  human lives getting killed. They have full sympathy for the terrorist who kill innocents people, but for those who get killed in the terror attacks? 

This has created serious issues on dealing with Terrorists and Terror ? It is a WAR waged on India and must be fought like a WAR.

It is one thing talking on politics and entirely another to be in politics and completely different criticizing it from outside without any accountability and perspective.

If intellectuals want to streanthen this Democracy, let them talk about Dynastic politics growing in this country and threatening our Democracy. Let them take on the corrupt governance openly without sitting on the fence. And finally, let them practice fairness and honesty in their thinking.
